Role of Sex in Animal Kingdom
Human Society and Animal Species on Sex
There are many unexplained facts and events on earth such as life and death, love and romance, plants and animals, water, soil, clouds, sun and sky. But the greatest mystery surrounds the word ‘sex’ in the entire animal kingdom. Why males and females are required for reproduction? What is there in the mind of Almighty Nature? Nobody knows. Scientists have struggled for the last 5000 years. But nothing is known for sure yet. Darwin was the first scientist to propose sexual selection theory after elaborate natural exploration. After him, scientists have studied hard to identify the evolutionary forces behind the pervasive differences between male and female behavior, morphology, and physiology. In the Western world, sex has reached the stage of saturation. In developing countries, it is suppressed. In spite of all aberrations, “family” is the greatest institution in human society and most of animal species. There is no doubt that humans are an inseparable part of the evolutionary biological process.
Enjoyment and Pleasure
Almost all animals including humans use a sense pleasure for fun, not for reproduction. There is no doubt that procreation or child creation continues to be the primary explanation for sexual behavior in animals. Interestingly, animals also engage in sex for social interaction, love, romance, enjoyment of sense pleasure, demonstration of dominance, aggression relief, exchange for significant materials, and sexual stimulation for sensual enjoyment. Many animals engage in homosexual behaviors as well as sex with dead animals, sex with other species and sex involving teenagers. Genital rubbing, licking, kissing, nose, tongue and mouth rubbing and sucking are very common in the animal world. So, what humans do is not unusual.
Oral pleasure is popular in the animal kingdom, from dolphins to monkeys. Some monkeys enjoy non-penetrative genital stimulation. Another form of genital stimulation is masturbation. We humans may erroneously think that masturbation is only limited to humans. It is not correct. Masturbation is highly prevalent among mammals not only for male but also for females. It is less common in birds. Animals use various techniques for masturbation such as by using paws, feet, flippers, tails, and sometimes using objects like sticks, pebbles, and leaves. Masturbation occurs more often in primate species with large sex organs relative to their body size. So, masturbation is a universal self-enjoyment technique for both humans and other animals.
Anal Penetration
Anal penetration with the penis (both in heterosexual and male homosexual) has been observed among some primate species including gorillas, orangutans and many others. It is also recorded by scientists that primate species like squirrel monkey and the spider monkey do enjoy anal penetration. Orangutans have also been observed to enjoy both male homosexual anal penetration with the finger as a masturbation technique. Humans use all these methods too, both homo- and heterosexual.
Sexual Ejaculation
Masturbation is the most common technique for sexual ejaculation found among both humans and other animals, also among both males and females from time immemorial. Among animals, it is found in cats, dogs, male deer, horse, rhinoceroses, bears, goats, and male monkeys. Some do it many times to maintain good health. Many animals have been seen practicing mutual masturbation by licking each other's genitals. In the human world, young boys and girls learn it in school days, mainly among same-sex friends. Earlier times, females were far off from such practice in school days. But in today’s world, it is widespread in both rural and urban areas. But the problem is that most people think it is an unhealthy or bad practice. It is not. What is bad is not to know the science of masturbation and a failure to maintain a balance of student life. Masturbation is not the end of life, purpose of life, aim of life. It is only an inseparable part of physical and mental health and hygiene. Balanced masturbation is helpful for immunity, body- mind- soul, brain activity, stress reliever and many more. More importantly, girls should be very careful about the techniques to enjoy masturbation as their sex organs are very delicate and susceptible to external germs. So, girls should be taught sex education in schools and also at home by mother and elder sisters. But in almost all developing countries it is forbidden areas it is related to sex. The outcome is very tragic: the highest sex-related ignorance causes the highest teenage girls casualty in poor countries; they become victims of all-male crimes- tortured, raped and murdered and suicides for pre-marital pregnancy.
Unusual Sex
Autoeroticism in female mammals as well as heterosexual and homosexual intercourse often involves direct or indirect stimulation of the clitoris. Clitoris organ is present in the females of all mammalian species and several other animal groups. Animals enjoy sex in highly creative ways. Along with humans, one of the most creative forms of masturbation is that of the male bottlenose dolphins. Female same-sex behaviors among elephants are captured only in captivity; here they help masturbate each other with their trunks. Nature is Almighty.
Homosexual behavior is also common among mallard groups of ducks, bonobos, sheep, penguins, fruit bats and other species. Genital- genital (GG) rubbing is also very popular among many species including humans. So lesbian sex among human females should not be considered as unnatural.
Sex between different species is also prevalent in the animal kingdoms, such as dog and jackal. This is also popular among some sea animals. Chimpanzees, bonobos and other species enjoy sex with younger members, i.e, teenagers. Interestingly, sexual intercourse between different species sometimes produces hybrid animals. Humans also pursue sexual act with other animals. But no hybrids are born with humans. The sculptures in Khajuraho temple and Sun Temple in India point to such sexual acts between humans and other animals as also orgy by many men and women. Indian saints discovered and recorded these acts in the ancient world.
Human Cruelty
In the Natural environment, there are such weird phenomena such as an animal engages in a sexual act with a dead animal; it is called Necrophilia. It is observed in mammals, reptiles, frogs, birds etc. As far as media reports go, in many countries, humans gang-rape female dead bodies. It’s the cruelest sadist behavior by humans.
Humans are bizarre animals. They do all kinds of sex as found among animals and use sex as a business. Sex is more than just an act, a goal, or a biological pattern among humans. It’s a central part of our lives. We write about sex, we think about sex, we organize national and international conferences about sex, discuss sex, have prohibitions about sex. We humans have laws, ideologies, and disguise about sex. The nastiest part of the human world is that we have created sex movies for the market. We pay for sex, and we use sex as a tool, a weapon, and a healing practice. Specialized beautiful girls are trained for spying through sex trap. Humans are absolutely perverted regarding sex. Big breasts, butts, hairless bodies, smooth skins, thin waist, swollen pussy of females, and big male penis and muscular body have become more demanding in the 21st century — humans are weird animals. Men, unlike most other mammals, have a penis that lacks a bone to assist in an erection. Interestingly, human penis erection and enlargement are complicated blood hydraulic processes for sexual enjoyment. If the penis does not get erected, the female partner will be frustrated and further problems begin in human life. Animals, in general, have natural mating seasons depending on Nature. But humans enjoy sense pleasure throughout the year and the whole day and night. The most shameless feature among humans is that unlike all other animals, humans use artificial fragrance to attract the opposite sex. This is not limited to females alone; many men also use such perfume. The tragedy is that it neutralizes the natural scent of pheromone hormone or testosterone which naturally distinguishes gender differences. For love, romance, sex, pheromone- a secreted or excreted chemical- instigates the opposite-sex partner.
Exceptional Behaviors
Some animals kill each other after sex such as octopuses, wolf spiders, mantises etc. One rare sexual event in Nature is this: Male brown antechinus mates with a large number of females for 14 hours at a time. Male echidnas have a peculiar system of the four-headed penis; during sex, they alternate between spent pairs as each propels their semen. Interestingly, the sex effort usually crashes his immune system, and as a result, he dies during sex drive. Again, when honey bees mate, the drone's reproductive organs get ripped off, and his testicles explode; it dies after mating. But nothing is more bizarre than barnacle's sex. That little crustacean has relatively the longest penis of any animal on earth spanning up to 10 times his body size. That's like a standard human penis reaching the length of a cricket bowling pitch of 66 ft. Barnacle needs it because he cannot move around very easily. So, he casts out his giant penis to find a mate. It waves about in the current, reaching to touch, and fertilize, the female organs around his circle.
Zoophilia
The term zoophilia was introduced into the field of research on sexuality in Psychopathia Sexualis in 1886 by Krafft-Ebing. Every scientific term has its origin in history such as the term zoophilia is derived from two nouns in Greek. In general, the term zoophilia may refer to sexual activity between humans and other animals. This indicates a definite preference for non-human animals over humans as sexual partners. It’s another aberration of sensual desire by humans. It is also termed as “bestiality” and “zoo-sadism”. Many artists, some in Japan, have painted unusual pieces of sexual acts between females and other animals. In richer families, it is told, females satiate sexual desires with pet dogs and other animals. Researches in the USA show that sometimes females affectionately attached to pet animals do enjoy such acts. In India’s temples, there are sculptures that clearly show men enjoying sexual acts with female animals.
Conclusion
Students are the future hope of humankind. They should first be guided and then they will guide future generations about misconceptions of sex, love and marriage. There is no doubt that sex is one of the sources of inspiration in life. So, please do not worry about it. Just keep in mind, following Bertrand Russell, that sex without love is beastly and prostitution, on the other hand, sex with love and romance is Heavenly. And marriage is a bond through sex which produces future hope of the world- that is, children. Moreover, sexual intercourse without the consent of the partner is “Rape”, and with consent, it is love romance and life. Therefore, enjoy and let people enjoy it too.
